Danville pawn shop shooting has left three people dead. Authorities are investigating a possible robbery, which occurred at ABC Gold in Danville, Ky. Friday morning. According to SFGate on Sept. 20, the two owners and a customer were shot to death.
The shooting victims were pawn shop owners Michael and Angela Hockensmith, Boyle County Coroner Don Hamner told the Lexington Herald-Leader. Hamner said the third victim was a man from Richmond.
The identity of the Danville pawn shop shooting third victim was not released because of the family had not yet been notified.
The Danville pawn shop shooting also caused a nearby college to be put on lockdown and police asked that residents stay clear of downtown. A suspect wearing a hoodie was seen leaving the scene on a bike. The lockdown was lifted by noon.
When police arrived the store was locked and they had to break in. In addition to the shooting victims, a 9-year-old child and an 18-month-old were found inside unharmed. Apparently the 9-year-old called police after his parents were shot to death in the store at 9 a.m. Friday.
The crime scene is being investigated and a good description of the shooter is not yet available.
