In real life Danneel Harris Ackles is about to become a parent, but professionally, her next gig is a guest star spot on Claudia Lonow's new ABC comedy about a woman forced to move back in with own parents, the aptly titled How to Live with Your Parents (for the Rest of Your Life). When we caught up with Lonow and her series star Sarah Chalke at the ABC TCA party in Los Angeles tonight, they were excited to share the news of Harris coming in for an important storyline in the first season.
"We see Polly start to date, but we also see Polly setting her ex-husband up," Lonow shared with LA TV Insider Examiner.
"There's a little, mini arc for the season regarding both Polly's dating and Julian's dating. In this case, it turns out good for him, and then she feels bad because it turns out good!"
Harris plays the woman with whom Polly (Chalke) sets her ex Julian (Jon Dore) up, and Chalke shared that the character is "stunning and a really smart lawyer," which just makes Polly, who gets a job working at an organic grocery store, feel that much more inferior.
How to Live with Your Parents (for the Rest of Your Life) airs on ABC on Wednesday nights at 9:30 p.m. Harris guest stars on May 8 2013.
