Cumberland Falls State Resort Park, near Corbin, will host a mystery theater presentation of Trouble at the Tropicabana, an I Love Lucy Spoof on Saturday, February 9.
The Fantastical Theatricals, from Lexington, will entertain guests with an interactive mystery theater as Lucy, Ricky, Fred, and Ethel mingle with diners.
The show opens with Ricky ready to sign a contract with movie mogul heiress, Celia B. DeMilo. As always, Ricky is concerned that somehow, Lucy and Ethel will ruin this big break as they scheme to get into the show as well. In the meantime, the notorious gangster, Mr. Big, shows up at Ricky’s club and a murder is discovered.
Who committed the murder? Why is Mr. Big at the Tropicabana? Will Ricky get the movie contract? And, most importantly, will Lucy finally get her big break?
Dinner will be served in the Riverview Restaurant inside the DuPont Lodge from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with the mystery theater starting at 8:00 p.m.
The park has lodge room packages available for this event that includes lodging for Saturday night, Saturday dinner, and the show for $149.99 per couple. A cottage package that include all the above is priced at $179.99 per couple. Dinner and show only is $34.99 per person.

Cumberland Falls is home of the only ‘moonbow’ in the western hemisphere. Often called the “Niagara of the South,” the waterfall is 65 feet high and 125 feet wide. The mist from these falls produces the famed moonbow during a full moon when the sky is clear.
Besides the rare moonbow, the park has 17 miles of hiking trails ranging from some that are less than one mile to the 10.8 Moonbow Trail. Other facilities at the park include the Riverview Restaurant, picnic facilities, campground, fishing, horseback riding, and swimming.
Cumberland Falls’ beautiful stone Dupont Lodge is complimented with solid hemlock beams and knotty pine paneling. All of the rooms at the lodge offer great views of the hills and hollows of south central Kentucky.
