Jessica Alba has one of the hottest bikini bodies in the world, thanks to a low-carb, Paleo-style diet and regular CrossFit workouts, Celebrity Health & Fitness reported. Despite her fit physique, Alba is not a fan of exercise.
"I hate working out," said Alba. "It's boring! I really only did it when I had a job that was physically demanding. From age 17 until I was 27, all I did were movies that were physically demanding, so all I did was work out all the time!"
Still, Jessica makes regular workouts and a healthy, low-carb diet a part of her lifestyle because her career depends on it. And lately, Alba has begun to embrace exercise for stress relief.
"Recently, I've started to work out for stress," said the mom of two. "I realize that I just need to give my mind a break. If you don't get rid of some extra energy, you can internalize it, and it becomes so unhealthy."
Alba maintains her sleek 5-foot-7 physique by following a low-carb, Paleo-style diet that features low-starch organic vegetables and fruits, and she avoids processed food. Jessica, who has a family history of obesity, began cooking at an early age to take control of her weight and health.
Celebrities Embrace Low-Carb Paleo Diet and CrossFit
Alba's circuit-training workouts incorporate fat-blasting CrossFit moves. Alba's CrossFit coach is fitness expert Yumi Lee. Lee is married to CrossFit athlete Ron Mathews, who trains Joe Manganiello.
Manganiello has credited the Paleo diet and CrossFit for his incredibly ripped physique. Similarly, Tim McGraw lost 40 pounds and has rippling 8-pack abs, thanks to the Paleo diet and CrossFit.
Alba recently reprised her role as the sexy stripper Nancy Callahan in the film, "Sin City: A Dame To Kill For," and worked out intensely to get in shape.
"Jess is an animal," said Jennifer Johnson, who trained Alba for the "Sin City" 2. "She works like crazy. She's still hungry to make it happen."
Alba, who shot to stardom in 2000 after starring in the TV series "Dark Angel," is widely considered one of the hottest women in the world, but insists she's uncomfortable with her sex-symbol status.
"I know that my looks were my path into Hollywood, but I never really enjoyed the kind of attention that comes with the [sex-symbol] image," she said.
Ironically, the brunette beauty said becoming a mother made her more at ease with her sexy image. While her lean, athletic physique is the envy of millions of women, Jessica claims she has cellulite and belly fat, and has learned to embrace her imperfections.
"I don’t have the body of a 14-year-old anymore," said Alba. "I have cellulite and stretch marks, and I have a muffin top! I think the more we try not to have that unrealistic ideal, the happier we’ll be."
