A team of investigators headed by retired U.S. Army Maj. Gen. Paul E. Vallely, a former senior Fox News military analyst, has exposed a covert plan being initiated by Iran to seize the Baghdad government, placing Iraq under Iranian control.

Vallely stated,
Iran has an interest in removing Nouri al Maliki as Prime Minister. He could be replaced on an interim basis by former Iraqi Interim Government Prime Minister, Ibrahim al Jaffari. Maliki is now considered unacceptable to Iran.
The overthrow of the Iraqi government by Iran would destabilize the entire region where tensions are already at a fever pitch due to the civil unrest in Syria and the continued unease created by the Muslim Brotherhood's rise to power in Egypt.
Iraqi Prime Minister Maliki has earned the disdain of the Iranian government due to his lack of support for the Assad regime in Syria. Maliki also openly supported the the Iranian Revolution and the attempt to overthrow the regime of Saddam Hussein in Iraq.
In addition to Iran's covert plan to overthrow the Iraqi government, Vallely's team of investigators also discovered that Iran has a much broader scheme for dominating the entire region.
Iran wishes to stamp out the resistance forces in Syria, thus stabilizing the Assad regime. Iran also intends to insure stability in Lebanon and strengthen its ties with the nations along the Arabian peninsula.
And with the overthrow of the Iraqi government in addition to the broader measures it intends to initiate, Iran would thus complete a "caliphate" -- the term used by extremist Muslim nations to denote an alliance or pact with other nations that share the goal of regional or global domination under the rule of the Koran as codified in Sharia Law.
Vallely cites evidence that forces in the region are on the move to implement this vision of domination.
Intelligence sources have confirmed that a large number of Iranian troops have already amassed inside Syria, with more on the way. These troops are said to number in the tens of thousands.
Further, eyewitnesses have confirmed that Iranian forces dressed in civilian clothing have moved into Syria through Iraq and are now being supplied with weapons and gear by the Syrian regime.
As further confirmation of the growing danger, intelligence sources have told Vallely that Russian civilians by the hundreds are being evacuated via aircraft from the region each day. Officials fear the specter of a broad scale war in the region involving weapons of mass destruction.
