Country star Glen Campbell sells his Malibu mansion for a cool $4.45 million (Photos)

Grammy-winning country star Glen Campbell is downsizing in the home department, thanks to the recent sale of his stunning-yet-comfy-looking Malibu mansion in a gated community.

Campbell, 76, who performed his Goodbye Tour for fans last year after sharing the news he has Alzheimer's disease, sold his California mansion, which was built in 2004 and boasts five-and-a-half bathrooms, for $4.45 million. The hit-maker first listed the property for sale in 2011 with Coldwell Banker's Malibu Colony office

Per a Jan. 5 report from RadarOnline, the selling price was $1.5 million less than the asking price, but still more than Campbell paid for the home -- with its views of the Santa Monica Bay and Catalina Island -- when he purchased it in 2005 for $3.425 million.

In 2009, the Country Music Hall of Fame inductee remodeled the Mediterranean-style house that features a billiard room, theater, living and family rooms, a den, four fireplaces and four bedrooms within its 6,540 square feet of living space. The home is situated on just under an acre and also boasts mature olive and palm trees and a swimming pool.

Although it's known if the home's new owner is among the celebrity set, it's clear the mansion was designed with a living legend in mind -- or at least a "Wichita Lineman"-turned-"Rhinestone Cowboy."
