Country artist Lisa Matassa makes national-TV debut on 'Marie' show

Country newcomer Lisa Matassa will make her national-TV debut on the Hallmark Channel's "Marie" show today, March 13, at 12 noon (ET)/ 11 a.m. (CT ), when Matassa performs her current hit, "Somebody's Baby," and the two women chat about the "adventures" involved in mixing a music career with motherhood.

"I had an amazing time performing on the 'Marie' show and one of my favorite moments was when Marie and I talked for a bit before the show," Matassa told Examiner.com on March 12. "She is so incredibly sweet and simply beautiful both inside and out!"

"I have been a fan of the show since it started last year," she added, "and am so excited that I was invited to be on. Marie is undoubtedly an entertainment icon, but she is also an amazing woman."

Matassa has her own share of amazing attributes. With more than six million YouTube video views -- including three million views of "Somebody's Baby"-- and two No. 1 videos on CMT.com, Matassa's no stranger to country audiences. She's shared the stage with Dierks Bentley, Leann Rimes, Eric Church, Ronnie Dunn, and most recently, Lee Brice.

Her current CD, also dubbed "Somebody's Baby," reflects her musical journey through a collection of songs that are both personal and dynamic. The "Somebody's Baby" single is currently No. 1 on iHeartradio/Country Chart and has been for the past three weeks. In addition, the second cut off the EP, "Wouldn't You Like To Know," is currently No. 2 on the same chart. Plus, Radio.com is playing "Somebody's Baby" on three of its channels and Aol Radio "New Country First" is spinning it in heavy rotation.
