Clint Eastwood, who starred in the “Dirty Harry” series of movies, was the proud father of the bride when daughter Alison Eastwood married sculptor Stacy Poitras, star of “Chainsaw Gang,” during an intimate ceremony in Calabasas, Calif., PEOPLE reported on March 17.
The Eastwood and Poitras families gathered at Saddlepeak Lodge Friday night to celebrate Alison and Stacy’s wedding. The beautiful blonde bride wore a 1930s-inspired beaded gown by Les Habitudes and the couple’s wedding bands were designed by Philip Press.
“We are thrilled to be surrounded by our family for this very special day and appreciate their love and d support as we begin our married life together,” Alison and Stacy told PEOPLE exclusively.
Stacy Poitras and Alison Eastwood met five years ago when she rode her horse into his studio at the Rustic Canyon General Store and Grill in Agoura, Calif. The couple announced their engagement in 2012, but Poitras asked for Clint Eastwood’s blessing first.
“He looked at me for four or five seconds, which felt like 15 minutes, and then he said, ‘You’re going to have to take that up with her.’ I said, ‘Is that a yes or a no?’ And he said, ‘That’s a yes.’ And shook my hand.”
Guests at the Eastwood/Poitras wedding included Alison’s mother Maggie, brothers Kyle and Scott, and sister Kathryn. Clint Eastwood was also in attendance with his wife Dina. Stacy’s brothers Mark, Matt and Bobby were on hand for the nuptials as well. Guests dined on salmon and elk, with vegetarian options for the bride.
Alison Eastwood, 40, calls Poitras her “best friend, “saying, “He’s the first man who has been the closest person to me.” Eastwood launched the Eastwood Ranch Foundation, a charity dedicated to raising funds and awareness for animals in need. Stacy Poitras is the star of CMT’s “Chainsaw Gang.”
