Ariel Castro, monster Cleveland Kidnapper who held captive and brutally raped and tortured three teens for a decade was found dead in his cell. He hung himself. Cold calculation, delight in manipulation with sadistic joy and erotic pleasure from the pain of others. Impulsive, hotheaded and irritable using violence where there is no threat to solve the situation.
To overcome the delusions and to see how they are harm the mind
A desire is an attachment that disturbs the mind. One can only imagine the disturbed mind of Ariel Castro set to be in jail for 1,000 years for his heinous crimes. A mistaken mind with no basis in reality. There were no valid reasons for Castro to think he was more important than others a fabrication of his ignorance.
“I am supremely important”
He couldn’t accept suffering courageously. All of his suffering came from his wishes to be happy. His wishes to be happy were based on his actions from his past, unpleasant experiences which were the effects of his negative actions, motivated by his delusions coming from the sheer fact of his own feelings of self-importance and regarding it as supremely important.
First, because of the ’I am important’ thought he realizes his desires are the only things that matter, to the exclusion of anyone else’s happiness or safety. Then he developed an attachment for what he thought appeared to be attractive and felt indifferent to any other thoughts.
Self-grasping and self-cherishing are the roots, delusions and attachment are the trunk, negative actions are the branches, and the miseries and pains are the bitter fruit
A total lack of regard for the happiness of others and selfishly pursuing and performing his own non-virtuous actions, only led to more suffering. All of his misery can be traced back to the one thing, self cherishing, or wanting things his own way.
A slaughterer, shameless, inconsiderate, a thief, fighting to keep what cannot be kept, fighting an impossible battle that will never be won, throwing conscience to the wind. Acting carelessly and causing more harm, no empathy for the young women and the pain he caused them or their families. He stole time away from them.
Castro was trained to kill without thinking, blindly following his delusions
He was a slave to his self-indulgent mind, and demanding to his loved ones. He’d rather die than give up control. His relentless pursuit. When people kill themselves it is usually because their wishes were not fulfilled and this was unbearable to them only because the self-importance made it feel like the most unbearable thing in the world.
It is the self-cherishing which makes it difficult because when you take your own desires and wishes so seriously you are unable to accept and learn from the difficult lessons
Castro blamed others for his unhappiness. The self-centered mind is constantly struggling to protect and serve itself. Failing to cherish others is failing to develop compassion. Self-centeredness has nothing to do with self-respect or self-confidence. Self-respect is not always wanting what is best for ourselves nor is it exploiting others
A psychopathic and sadistic mind is fascinated with what the public thinks
Sexual sadism seems to have very early roots, as early as infancy and the way they were treated or abused. When children are hurt or abused, they have little choice but to love their parents, pain is pleasurable, they seek pleasure from the pain.
