Clara Jane Nixon dies at the age of 92. The sister-in-law of former Pres. Richard Nixon Passed away from natural causes in Irvine, Calif. on Jan. 19, 2013, according to Boston.com.
Nixon was a widow whose husband Donald preceded her in death. She is survived by two children, one son and one daughter, Donald and Lawerne.
Richard Nixon's sister-in-law was integral in the preservation of artifacts from the homes of the Nixon siblings. The Richard Nixon Foundation reported that her brother-in-law Ed Nixon made the sad announcement on the day that Clara Jane Nixon died:
"Family and close friends of Clara Jane Nixon are united today sharing treasured memories of life with this great lady. Her passing this morning leaves us with feelings of regret for having too many unfinished conversations, but rejoicing in the faith that kept her above the everyday noise all around us."
There will not be a public funeral service. Nixon will have a private burial. She will be interred at Rose Hill Cemetery beside her husband Donald and other members of the Nixon .
