Xbox LIVE Gold members can download Civilization Revolution for free from their Xbox 360 or queue it up from the Xbox Store. Developed by Firaxis Games and originally released in 2008, the game puts a console spin on the traditional PC turn-based strategy Civilization series. It includes both single-player and multiplayer with 16 different civilizations, five different difficulties and four different ways to win.

There are also three free map packs available - The Elemental, The Surreal and Brave New Worlds - along with paid DLC packs that add more maps, Wonders and victory condition to Civilization Revolution.

An Xbox LIVE Gold subscription is required to download the games for free but, once purchased, the games are yours to keep even after your subscription ends. Several stores currently have the normally $60 membership on sale for $40 including Amazon, Best Buy, Microsoft Store and Walmart. Newegg has sweetened the pot a little with a $5 Xbox Store credit to go along with the $40 membership for a limited time.
