Chefs Sergio Perera & Greg Bernhardt launch WineBar @ CoffeeBar - DTLA (Photos)

This past Wednesday Chefs Greg Bernhardt & Sergio Perera started service of WineBar @ CoffeeBar in downtown Los Angeles A wine/beer menu and food menu are available. The wine menu has all wines available by the glass or bottle. Food is incredibly well sourced premium products including meats sourced through Premiere Meats at unbelievably accessible price points (nothing more than twelve dollars).

Detailed profiles on both chefs are forthcoming. Both chefs’ resumes are very impressive working in key leadership roles for both local and world renowned chefs like Neal Fraser, Ludo and Juan Mari Arzak.

While downtown working for his new company, Greg came across the CoffeeBar that despite this location’s liquor license (which extends to include this location’s front patio) closed at 5 PM. So Greg approached the owners, and asked if he could take over operations after 6 PM, and the owners consented. Greg brought in his friend Sergio. Both came up with 12 plate ideas then narrowed that number down to twelve total further refining these plates to reflect both Greg’s French technique, and Sergio’s Barcelona inspired modern take on tapas

WineBar @ CoffeeBar is located at 600 S. Spring St. Service runs Wednesday through Saturday from 6 PM to midnight.
