Waves of color begin to emerge across the Cheekwood grounds with the warmer weather. First, hyacinths, daffodils, and magnolias appear that soon give way to iris, dogwoods, and viburnums. This year spring will deliver a massive dose of over 100,000 brightly colored tulips to the Cheekwood gardens.

Weekend Activities

Saturdays and Sundays bring special activities along with the spring blossoms, but the special attractions will be the daffodils, hellebores, crocus, snowdrops, cornelian cherry dogwood, Japanese flowering snowball trees, winter jasmine, redbud, and the tulips.

One Bellevue hiking group, HikeNashville, is planning an "Easy Walk at Cheekwood in Bloom Sat. Mar. 22" to enjoy the blooms.

Best Public Garden

Cheekwood Botanical Garden & Museum of Art was recently named = as a finalist on the 10Best Readers’ Choice Awards list from USA Today Travel for “Best Public Garden.” Nashville residents, fans of Cheekwood, and garden lovers across the Southeast are encouraged to vote daily at between now and March 31.
