The news was generally not good for the Beatles in a Billboard 200 chart update dated Jan. 11, 2014 and released on Jan. 3. “The Beatles Bootleg Recordings 1963,” the iTunes only release which was released in mid-December and debuted last week at #172, dropped off the charts. “On Air: Live at the BBC, Volume 2," which was at #55 last week, dropped to #84 in its seventh week on the chart. Paul McCartney's “NEW” is at #92 in its 11th week on the chart, dropping 32 places from #60 last week.The Beatles did, however. get some good news with the “1” album reappearing on the chart at #187, its 154th showing.
On the iTunes chart of its 100 most popular rock albums, “The Beatles Bootleg Recordings 1963” dropped from #33 to #83. The most popular Beatles album on the system, The Beatles “1” dropped from #11 to #13 from last week .
