The suspect in the Vancouver stabbings has been described as a "charming guy," according to a Feb. 2 AP report via Yahoo News. Even so, Jerome Bonneric faces charges in an awful apartment building stabbing rampage.
According to reports, the suspect randomly attacked residents in the apartments hallway. The charges are four counts of aggravated assault and assault with a weapon along with three counts of common assault and one count of assaulting a police officer.
Vancouver police spokesman Sgt. Randy Fincham described the incident as a "very vicious, very serious attack."
Based on how he has been described by co-workers, Jerome Bonneric is nice and charming, so it is difficult to believe that he would do something this horrific. Police are investigating whether drugs or alcohol or mental health problems may have prompted the attacks.
In all, the "charming guy" is accused of a brutal attack that injured eight people, and sent six people to the hospital. One person was critically injured. He is expected to appear in court to face the charges on Monday.
