At a time when many frequent-customer programs are cutting back on benefits or making it more difficult to redeem rewards, award-winning Celebrity Cruises is sailing like the wind in the opposite direction.
Its newly enhanced Captain’s Club works much in the way of rewards programs associated with credit cards and frequent flyer programs, but with ever expanding benefits as you move up through the six tiers of complimentary membership. It all begins as you complete your first cruise as a Preview member. You then move up to the Classic level on your second cruise with its increased level of service, special discounts, and extra perks including the Captain's Club Celebration Event on every cruise.
For frequent Celebrity cruisers who are currently enjoying the Classic, Select, or Elite status of membership, there are now two additional levels offering even greater benefits: Elite Plus and Zenith.
Elite Plus members will receive an even higher level of recognition and broader benefits, including additional beverage and specialty dining discounts, complimentary 200-minute Internet packages and complimentary cappuccinos and lattes. The math is simple: the more you cruise, the more value you get for your money.
Zenith status provides the ultimate level of membership, such as access to Michael’s Club Lounge (available fleet-wide in 2014), a complimentary premium alcoholic beverage package, complimentary laundry (always a great perk on a long cruise), a 1,600-minute Internet package, and other premium benefits.
Celebrity’s guests now can accelerate their progression through the loyalty tiers with a new Club Points system which recognizes the stateroom category as well as the days spent onboard. Members’ previous cruise credits will be automatically converted into Club Points and members will retain all of the benefits they have so far earned in the program – with no expiration.
Another new money-saving perk is the ability to quickly access special pricing exclusively for Captain’s Club members on the Celebrity Cruises website, www.celebritycruises.com. By simply entering their name and Captain’s Club number, members can instantly see available loyalty pricing.

Our personal experience with Celebrity Captain’s Club (CCC) – currently at the Classic level - is that, yes, Celebrity treats every guest onboard with the same consistently high standard of service and quality in all departments, but those who are CCC members are rewarded for their loyalty discretely and privately in ways that are richly sociable, entertaining and money-saving. They are announced with personal messages delivered to Captain’s Club member’s staterooms and suites.
