Saturday May 5, 2012 is National Scrapbooking Day (NSD). NSD is a great excuse to get out and get scrapbooking with your friends and family, and there are a lot of activities planned around the Boston area for this special occasion. Take a look at this list, and see what's going on near you. Join a local crop, or take a class on a new technique.

Absolutely Everything in Topsfield MA will be holding an Art Journaling Workshop from 12N to 3PM where you will create journal pages using a variety of techniques.

Ink About It in Westford, MA will be hosting a free Altered Art Show from 11AM to 4PM.

Right at Home Scrapbooking in Attleboro, MA is going one step further and hosting a retreat for the whole weekend at the Hawthorn Suites.

The Crop Shop in Rockland, MA will be hosting an Inchie Swap from 12N to 1PM, and is participating in the Creative Crop on the Cape on Sunday from 10AM to 4PM.

The larger craft stores, such as Michael's, AC Moore, and Joann Fabrics, do not currently have any specific events listed for National Scrapbooking Day, but check with your local store so see if they are hosting independent events.

The Swansea Scrapbooking Meetup Group is hosting an NSD crop for it's members from noon to midnight on Saturday.

An NSD event will be held by the Late Night Croppers from 10AM to midnight.
