Día de los Muertos celebrations are in full swing this weekend in San Antonio and Hotel Havana is hosting several events. On Friday and Saturday guests can come by and join in the observance of this Mexican cultural tradition of celebrating loved ones who have passed away. Ocho will be offering a special Día de los Muertos menu and a traditional altar will be on display.
There are a couple of night time events at planned at Ocho with no cover charge.
- On Friday November 1 from 7p.m. to 10p.m. guest can enjoy the Latin Jazz and salsa by Osorio.
- On Saturday November 2 from 7:30p.m. to 10:30p.m. Adrian Quesada will be doing DJ duties playing the best in psychedelic soul, funk and Afro Latin sounds. He is the founding member of Grammy-award winning band group Grupo Fantasma.

Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) is a Mexican holiday celebrated not only in Mexico but in other cultures around the world. Family and friends gather to pray for and remember those who have passed away. This cultural tradition coincides with Halloween, All Saints’ Day and All Souls’ Day and includes creating altars in memory of loved ones.
