On Jan. 8, 2013, Casey Anthony's legal team will enter a Daytona Beach, Fla. courtroom and ask a state appeals court to throw out her convictions for lying to police, according to CF News 13.
Anthony is the mother acquitted in 2011 of killing her toddler daughter, Caylee Anthony, in the summer of 2008.

Although the jury found there was not enough evidence to convict Anthony of killing her child, it did determine she had lied to police when being questioned about her daughter’s disappearance.
Her attorney believes his client should have only been charged once for lying, calling the four convictions she was given double jeopardy.
Until last month, Anthony seemed to be in hiding as no one had spied her out and about since her murder trial. A cell phone photo captured the image of a woman who appears to be Anthony, 26, eating at Flanigan’s Seafood Bar and Grill in Lake Worth in mid-December.
Anthony is not expected to appear with her attorneys in court on Tuesday.
