Originally picked up by CharlieIntel, the back cover image shows that Call of Duty: Ghosts only supports up to 12 players online for a max of 6 versus 6 matches. Previous Call of Duty games in both the Modern Warfare and Black Ops series supported up to 18 players online.
It is currently unclear what number of players the PS4 and Xbox One versions of Ghosts will support but 18 players seems likely. If so, that's a pretty significant shift for what has been a staple multiplayer series on the current generation of consoles. Some gamers are also likely to cast a questioning eye towards Activision and Infinity Ward if there is six player difference between the current-gen and next-gen versions of the game.
Edit: To clarify, this means that the "Ground War" gametype has been removed from at least the current-gen consoles.
The back cover also revealed that the Xbox 360 version of Call of Duty: Ghosts requires a 3GB install to the hard drive or other storage device.
Call of Duty: Ghosts will be released Nov. 5 to the PS3, Xbox 360 and PC, Nov. 15 for the PS4 and Nov. 22 for the Xbox One.
