Jessica Biel with Bullet 4 Peace
There’s no doubt Bullets 4 Peace makes an intriguing line of jewelry. Striking in its difference and making a powerful statement, this line has apparently become a favorite with celebrities after being introduced earlier this year and promoted at Magic Las Vegas in February.
Notable names dropped as fans of the jewelry in a recent press release include Justin Timberlake, Jessica Biel, and The Jonas Brothers. Bullets4peace.com also features photos of Penny Marshall, Jamie Foxx, and Stephanie Pratt among other celebrities wearing these unique designs.
What’s the deal behind the bullets? The collection was created in 2009 by Rafi Anteby, the owner of luxury fashion line Shadang. After spending years as an Israeli soldier, Anteby reportedly turned to fashion as a means of expressing himself. He developed Bullets 4 Peace as a brand with a mission to spread positive change internationally through the world of fashion.
The Bullets 4 Peace jewelry collection features styles for both men and women made of actual bullet casings molded into stylish necklaces, earrings and rings. The collection ranges from $40 to $
15,000, and ranges from imprinted glowing necklaces to diamond encrusted luxury pieces.
One of the line's featured items, the lotus ring, is fashioned from a hand split bullet with rolled edges forming a flower. The paradox of the bullet and the lotus remains fundamental to the message of the brand, although it’s not immediately obvious this adornment is fashioned out of ammo in comparison to striking pendants offered for sale through the brand’s Web site.
Bullets 4 Peace is also affiliated with Every Bullet has a Target, a non-profit organization leveraging money for charitable causes. This affiliation has forged relationships with charities such as Madonna's Raising Malawi, according to publicists representing Bullets 4 Peace.
