A play on “blue in the face” is where Republicans are headed as they keep pounding against “Affordable Care”. The law is in place. The program is moving forward as it is the only solution in place to address the need to insure 50 million Americans with affordable insurance.
Republican ideologues don’t have a viable alternative because they don’t believe in addressing such needs.
The French term, “C'est la vie” is their theme. That is, if you are not lucky, you are out. To them, that is life.
Those who have are unwilling to yield to those who have not because they argue that is against the principle of what they call “economic liberty.” The notion that the government might intervene with laissez faire economics is unacceptable to capitalist purists.
Capitalists, for instance, believe that keeping the air and water clean is non-essential. That is why they don’t mind shutting down the Environmental Protection Agency for instance. However, intelligent people know that clean air and water are essential for supporting life on planet Earth and today we are at a tipping point.
Conservatives delayed their acceptance of global warming and its consequences to their last breath because, they believe that the last breath belongs to them?
With 90% of Americans against the House of Representatives at this moment, their red faces will be turning blue soon as voters will remember in November.
“House conservatives still fighting on Obamacare

For House conservatives, the government shutdown isn’t quite something to mourn.
After all, they are still looking to celebrate Obamacare’s demise.
They’ve tried to defund, delay and eliminate portions of the president’s health care law, and they’re still not wavering. Instead, they are demanding that Senate Democrats and Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) come to the negotiating table.
