Sexy is as sexy does, and sexy comes in all shapes and sizes. Knowing this, the media still bombarbs women of all ages with their idea of what sexy should be from fashion to advertisement. What we see is almost always a size four or less. So where does that leave the rest of the world's population of curvy and voluptuous femmes who comprise the majority of that gender, and where can they find confidence-boosting information and articles that address real curves?
Allow me to direct you all to The Curvy Fashionista!
This blog dedicates itself to fashion for women with plush assets celebrating Reubenesque sexuality as it darn well should be. Beyond fashion, TCF featured guest blogger Bonnie Lee Cuevas has written a 3-part series on embracing and loving curves, and aspiring to sizzling confidence in the bedroom. (Confidence, Sex, and the Plus-Sized Woman)
I loved this idea so much that I posed the question to my male readers on their feelings regarding curvy women just to see where we gals with busts and booties stand.
Chris, a (young, gorgeous) gentleman who owns a successful dating service in San Antonio said "Curves bring out the Captain Caveman in me!" Yep, he's a fan.
Another friend who is back on the singles scene said "It's about confidence. If she's soft, smells nice, and dressed nice, then it just adds to the sexiness."
Men do enjoy the curves! So why are curvy women lacking in confidence in their womanly bodies? Lee says that too many women are worried about how their bodies appear, and how they look while in motion -- so much so that they are unable to just let go and truly enjoy the sexual experience. She adds that men aren't thinking about what their women had for breakfast or cellulite or even jiggly parts! "You are in the moment and sex, GOOD sex starts with confidence."
She addresses how women can attain that confidence men find so attractive by giving themselves permission to be sexy. Ways to boost sexual confidence are thinking sexy thoughts (fantasize a little or read a good smut book); play with sexy toys (explore your own body and learn what turns you on); and dress sexy! Putting on lacy, frilly underthings is a great way to start because it's nearly impossible for any woman to ignore how sexy she feels when wearing lingerie. Get a makeover and step into a pair of man-eating stilettos. Strut your stuff!
Do this every day and watch how quickly personal confidence soars as the men around you take notice.
Remember that we are all deserving of love, and when we feel good about ourselves, it shows. Check out The Curvy Fashionista's feature Confidence, Sex, and the Plus-Sized Woman Part I.
