Blake Lively is model-thin and drop-dead gorgeous, but she doesn't diet or work out at all. Lively, 26, credits youth, good genes, and an active lifestyle for her enviable figure.
"I'm lucky to have an active lifestyle," Lively told Vogue Paris. "I'm always on the go. I don't need to have a [trainer] or pay attention to what I eat."
The leggy 5-foot-10 Blake indulges her love of chocolate every day, insisting it puts her in a good mood.
"I can't start my day without a cup of hot milk chocolate or finish without crunching a few dark chocolate squares," she said. "It's good for my morale."
Lively previously admitted she's lucky to be young and have a fast metabolism, but said she'll probably have to diet and work out when she gets older to stay in shape.
I wish I could lie and say that I [exercise or diet], but I don't. I obviously have plenty of imperfections on my body, but I'd rather have a little bit of cellulite and go do a food trip and try every ice cream place in the South.
In a few more years, I’ll need to have a new secret, as in an incredibly strict diet regime."
Despite not being a fitness enthusiast, Lively leads a generally healthy lifestyle. "I don't drink," she said. "I've never tried a drug. It's not like I decided on these strict lifestyle choices and I'm enforcing them. It's just something that I genuinely don't have a desire for."
What Blake enjoys is cooking and good food. "To be around me, you must love food, or I’m the most obnoxious person you’ve ever met," she said.
I’m in a big cooking phase. That’s all I talk about. If you went to my house and didn’t know who it belonged to, you would not think it belonged to an actress."
Lively has been married to Canadian heartthrob Ryan Reynolds since September 2012. When the couple was filming the "Green Lantern" in 2011, Lively confessed she tried to sabotage Reynolds' strict diet by tempting him with yummy homemade cupcakes.
“He was working out like crazy,” Lively recounted. “I’m the girl in this movie and I’m supposed to look better. I needed a way to sabotage Ryan. I brought cupcakes and smiles to the set to get to him."
The 6-foot-2 Ryan, who whipped himself into 200 pounds of solid muscle (and a lean 8% body fat), said Lively's ploy really tested his resolve.
“Most actors, it’s coke and guns [that tempts them],” he said. “For me, my weakness is baked goods.”
