At 7 PM (ET), Tuesday night, well-known science-popularizer, Bill Nye "the Science Guy", will debate Christian apologist Ken Ham, president of Answers in Genesis. According to Mr. Ham's website, the event is live and hosted at Mr. Ham's Creation Museum.

The event sold out quickly but will be streamed across the internet for free. The primary internet site for the event will be Google+ Hangouts. After the event, it will be available on DVD for purchase or on YouTube for viewing for a limited time.

The specific debate will center on the question: "Is creation a viable model of origins?" The event will finish at 9:30 with questions and answers session begins at 8:45 PM.

Some atheists question whether Mr. Nye should debate Mr. Ham at all. The Pew Research Center commented on the event, noting that 60% of Americans believe man evolved over time.

It will be interesting to see if Mr. Ham tries to stump Mr. Nye with the limitations of science as a self-contained method as professor Stenger of the University of Colorado was stumped by a local pastor.

Ken Ham is a long-standing and well-known Christian apologist for young-earth, six-day creationism. Bill Nye is currently the CEO of Planetary Society.
