'Biggest Loser' season 14 finale: Strong women finish strong (Video)

Tonight’s season 14 “Biggest Loser” finale had a healthy dose of inspiration for everyone – from the teens who achieved their goals and got their families to join in and get healthy to the adult contestants, who in a display of girl power took the top spot and the at-home title.

Danni Allen took home the $250,000 prize Tuesday night on the live 2-hour finale on NBC with an impressive 121-pound loss and Gina McDonald kept her streak of commanding weight loss going on and off the ranch by losing 113 pounds and taking home the $100,000 at-home prize.

Let’s look back at the “Biggest Loser” season 14 finale.

The trainers – Bob Harper, Dolvett Quince and Jillian Michaels – stepped on stage and talked about how great it was to work with kids this season. Host Alison Sweeney asked Dolvett how he felt to see contestants leave every week. “We hope that we set everyone up to win,” he said.

But who did America choose as the third finalist? First onstage was Jackson, who looked even younger than his 21 years. He mentioned his “struggles” on the ranch (i.e.: puking). Joe was next on stage and he looked super healthy and fit. And not only did he look great, his identical twin brother in the audience lost nearly as much weight.

Jackson won America’s vote to be the third finalist, but Joe instantly became a prime contender for the at-home prize.

Teen contestant Lindsay came out with a bang – cheering with her local high school cheerleading squad. She is down 47 pounds and looked fit and radiant in her cheerleading outfit. “Hard work does pay off,” she said.

Pam, Nate and Alex were the first eliminated contestants to be introduced and they all looked fabulous. Alex was rocking a one-shoulder sparkly dress and Pam looked years younger than her before picture – and yes, she did her “damn, girl!” dance. Not only did Nate look great but his mom also lost 70 pounds.

After introducing Nikki, who left the show on her own terms, Pam, Nate and Alex weighed in. How’d they do?

  • Pam: 71 pounds lost, 29.96 percent (and more dancing)
  • Nate: 99 pounds lost, 27.58 percent
  • Alex: 84 pounds lost, 35 percent

Francelina, TC, Michael and Cate were next out and all were completely transformed. But they quickly changed out of their rockin’ outfits and weighed in.

  • Francelina: 95 pounds lost, 35.58 percent
  • TC: 110 pounds lost, 29.26 percent
  • Michael: 136 pounds lost, 30.63 percent
  • Cate: 64 pounds lost, 27 percent

Lisa, David, Gina and Joe were next onstage. We already know how great Joe looked, but wow, Lisa! She had the most shocking transformation, and her husband also lost 70 pounds. Time for them to weigh in.

  • Lisa: 108 pounds lost, 43.90 percent
  • David: 102 pounds lost, 33.22 percent
  • Gina: 113 pounds lost, 46.12 percent
  • Joe: 147 pounds lost, 40.38 percent

That result gave Gina the at-home winner prize – kind of a shocker, eh? But when you think of it, she had always lost the highest percentage of weight every week on the ranch.

Before we saw the final three contestants, we got to see Biingo (that extra “i” is for incredible). He lost 43 pounds and also grew 2 inches. Not only that, his entire family lost a total of 200 pounds. And he made the baseball team with a touching presentation of his baseball uniform from his coach.

Finally the three finalists took the stage. First up was Jackson and we were treated to one last Jackson Puke Montage. Jeff and Danni came onstage and while Jeff looked spectacular, Danni’s new look was jaw-dropping. The last member standing of Jillian’s team wanted to give her trainer a hug but Jillian told her that there would be no hugs until the final scene.

Sunny was the final teen to come onstage. She came out in a sparkling pink dress and is down 51 pounds. Her message to other kids: “I promise you that being in good health is the best feeling you could ever have.”

Courtney Crozier from season 11 was on with Subway spokesman Jared Fogle. She’ll be starring in a new Subway ad with him and the winner of “Biggest Loser” season 14. Who would that be? Time for the final weigh-in.

  • Jackson: 138 pounds lost, 42.07 percent
  • Jeff: 181 pounds lost, 46.65 percent
  • Danni: 121 pounds lost -- she won by 1 pound!

Before the confetti flew, Danni was asked how it felt to have achieved her weight-loss goal: “I feel like no one can take this away from me.”

So Danni’s the winner and Gina’s the at-home winner. Another strong finish from some strong women.
