The San Joaquin Valley APCD Hearing Board will be meeting this Wednesday, March 13, to determine whether it will grant permission for several companies to violate local air pollution control regulations.
According to its agenda, just published on the APCD's website, the following three oil companies and a cogeneration company have submitted petitions for short variances from APCD requirements:
- Pixley Cogen Partners, LLC
11222 Road 120
Pixley, CA 93256
- Vintage Production California, LLC
Kern Front Oil Field
Lost Hills, CA
- Aera Energy, LLC
Section 32 Gas Plant
Belridge Oil Field
- Chevron USA, Inc.
26C Oil Cleaning Plant
Midway Sunset Oil Field
Variances such as these may be granted provided that certain determinations can be made by the Hearing Board, according to California law.
The hearing is open to the public, who may ask questions, challenge, or support any of the petitions.
