The Power of Veto competition took place on July 19, 2014, as two “Big Brother” 16 house guests fought to win the medallion and take themselves off the eviction block. In addition, live feeds from inside the “Big Brother” house reveal that Caleb is now becoming frustrated with his crush, Amber, and how she continually hangs out with Cody, who she calls her “best friend” in the game.
Initially, four cast mates were nominated for eviction after spoilers revealed that after Thursday night’s live “Big Brother” episode, Cody and Frankie won the Head of Household competition called “Deviled Eggs.” Cody nominated Brittany and Victoria, and Frankie nominated Amber and Jocasta, Joker’s Updates reports.
The Battle of the Block was held on July 18, and Amber and Jocasta were victorious. Frankie lost his HOH title and Brittany and Victoria were forced to fight it out in the POV challenge.
According to Joker’s, Victoria won the POV and will no doubt use it to save herself. This means that Cody, as reigning HOH, will be forced to replace Victoria with another cast member he must nominate for eviction.
More Caleb and Amber drama has taken place in the “Big Brother” house, as well. Big Brother Network reports that Caleb, who has been very vocal about his massive crush on Amber, has become frustrated with her interactions with Cody. It appears that about midnight on Friday night PT, he walked into the living room and saw Cody and Amber joking around on the couch. According to Big Brother Network, the encounter was “uncomfortable.”
Caleb later told other house guests that Cody has become his target. He also noted that if Amber is on the eviction block in the future and he has the opportunity to save her, he will not. According to Joker’s at around 2:30 a.m. PT Caleb could be heard on the live feeds telling Amber that he wakes up every day and feels as though she could “just kick” him in the “balls and spit” in his face.
Live feeds also showed Amber talking to the other women in the “Big Brother” house in an effort to start an all girls alliance. Also, on TVGN's "Big Brother: After Dark" Zach could be seen mocking Amber's statement that Cody, who was present for the conversation, is now her "best friend" after only a short time in the "Big Brother" house.
