The week 8 “Big Brother” Head of Household winners made their nominations for eviction on Aug. 15, 2014, with one rookie and three others who have already faced possible banishment from the game. The four nominees will now fight for safety in the upcoming Battle of the Block competition.
On Thursday night’s live “Big Brother” 16 episode, Derrick and Frankie won the Head of Household zombie apocalypse challenge. Big Brother Network reports that on Friday, Derrick chose Donny and Christine as his nominees for eviction, and Frankie chose to put Caleb and Cody on the block.
BBN notes that Derrick and Frankie’s nominations were not easily come by, as none of their alliance, the Detonators, would volunteer themselves to sit on the block as a pawn. The idea was for the player who was paired with their target, Donny, to throw the competition, leaving him at risk to be sent to jury.
Eventually, the group decided to draw candy, Skittles to be precise, from a hat by assigning alliance members to various colors, BBN reports. In the words of Caleb, at “the end of the day,” Christine was chosen to be nominated next to Donny, and Caleb and Cody were drawn to be paired with one another for eviction. This is the first time Cody has been nominated for eviction.
According to Joker’s Updates, later on in the day Donny agreed with Cody that being nominated “does suck though,” noting this is his fifth time on the block. At press, all those nominated were preparing for the BOB competition, which is expected to take place sometime tonight.
