The four nominees put on the “Big Brother” eviction block in week 8 fought for safety in the Battle of the Block competition. The challenge took place on Aug. 15, 2014 only hours after the nominated house guests learned they were at risk for being sent to jury.
In a Head of Household competition Thursday night that quizzed cast mates on concocted facts about a zombie apocalypse taking place outside the “Big Brother” 16 house, Derrick and Frankie won. This took place a day after the cast members were subjected to undead figures appearing and disappearing behind the glass that is typically used for cameras to film players around the clock.
Big Brother Network noted that Derrick and Frankie had trouble deciding who to nominate due to the dwindling numbers of house guests left in the “Big Brother” game, as some of their alliance members would have to sit on the eviction block. They ended up drawing Skittles out of a hat and when all was said and done, Christine and Donny were nominated by Derrick, and Caleb and Cody were nominated by Frankie.
Ultimately, the winners of the BOB were Donny and Christine, which leaves Frankie HOH for the week and resulted in the dethroning of Derrick. Caleb and Cody will now fight it out to try and gain safety in the upcoming Power of Veto competition.
Joker’s Updates reports that Christine had promised to throw the competition and was “expressing her sorrow for not losing” to the others. The report taken from live feeds also stated that she also now believes that “her number one target,” presumably Donny, knows she intended to lose.
