Biden: 'Legitimate media' will help pass gun control

Speaking to a group of reporters in Philadelphia Monday, Vice President Joe Biden stated that the "legitimate media" would help the Obama administration get its stringent gun control proposals passed into law.

"We're counting on all of you, the legitimate news media, to cover these discussions...," said Biden.

The vice president further warned that "people would continue to misrepresent" the White House plan for gun control, and that the social media outlets apparently are part of the problem.

Given that the conservative, alternative media relies heavily on social media to get out its message since the mainstream outlets are part of a large exclusive monopoly on news that is routinely slanted in favor of Obama and Democrats in Congress, it can only be assumed that when Biden refers to "legitimate news media" he means those who are friendly to the administration, such as NBC, MSNBC, ABC, CBS, CNN, the New York Times, the Washington Post, Newsweek Magazine, Time Magazine, AOL-Huffington Post and at least a dozen others that practically rule the airwaves with leftward-slanted stories.

The Washington Press Corp has also been unusually friendly to this president, rarely challenging him on anything at all, not even gargantuan scandals such as Fast and Furious, Benghazi, the New Black Panther debacle, voter fraud, self-avowed Marxist "czars" that operate out of the White House, lies about taxes, and a host of other issues that have caused conscientious citizens significant alarm.

Instead, when one of the mainstream reporters interviews Obama, one has come to expect -- and get -- softball questions rather than substantive inquiries into problematic areas of the administration's policies, which are routinely ignored.

And on the gun issue, as expected, every major media outlet in the country, with the exception of the alternative media and conservative talk radio, has served as a propaganda tool for Obama's message of passing "reasonable restrictions" on gun rights, although the Constitution's wording of the Second Amendment specifically forbids government from infringing on gun rights in any way whatsoever.

But of course, according to Biden, nothing that the administration has proposed restricts gun rights in any fashion. And in this day and age of constant doublespeak, restrictions such as gun bans, ammunition bans, limits on ammunition, gun owner registration and a national database, and the ban on private gun sales, are not restrictions at all.

Biden's statements in Philadelphia are classic Obama administration obfuscation -- doublespeak aimed at undermining the Second Amendment right to keep and bear arms while claiming they are not attempting to undermine those rights.

And so far, no one except the conservative, alternative media are calling their hand on the deception.
