Most artists need to bombard their fans with ads of upcoming album releases, but not this songstress. According to a Dec. 13 Us Magazine report, Beyonce released a new self-titled album on iTunes at midnight on Dec. 13. The 32-year old singer caused a stir on social networks as fans raced to download the “visual album.”
The surprise release of the album is nothing short of the best Christmas gift to the singer’s fans, including sister Solange Knowles, who tweeted, “So my sister is a f--king G,” adding, “I'm sitting here watching THE most artful and perfect project ever.”
Billboard reports that Beyonce’s surprise album, is her fifth studio album, and includes a 14-song collection featuring soon-to-be hits like the buzzed about “Drunk In Love,” a collaboration with husband Jay Z. Other songs include “Mine,” featuring Drake, and “Blue,” a sweet collaboration with daughter Blue Ivy Carter. Drake, Pharrell Williams, Justin Timberlake, Kelly Rowland, Michelle Williams and Frank Ocean also worked with the singer on her surprise album.
Beyonce’s end-of-year music domination does not end there. The singer showed everyone why she has been dubbed Queen Bey, with her new album collection. Each song on the new album features a music video, also available on iTunes. Music video directors, include Hype Williams, Terry Richardson, and Melina Matsoukas, among others.
