Models wearing floppy wigs in various colors, and preoccupied with cell phones plastered to their ears, presented designer Betsey Johnson’s eponymous label Betsey Johnson Fall 2013 collection in an animated fashion show for New York Fashion Week on February 11, 2013.
Betsey Johnson’s fans rely on the designer to deliver a good dose of colorful and fun-filled designs to help them take life a little less seriously. They will not be disappointed this autumn…
Flared skirts and tulle tutus were teamed with calf-length leggings and tracksuit style hoodies and puffer style ankle booties in various colors.
Leopard or floral chiffon dresses, teamed with black turtlenecks, leggings and gloves, are topped with faux fur hip-length jackets and accessorized with a string of pearls.
Alternatively, one of Betsey Johnson’s fur vests or the canary yellow winter coat will keep you toasty.
Lovers of plaid are indulged with a yellow and black plaid jumper, again teamed with a black turtleneck and ankle leggings. Or would you rather the metallic copper colored jumper? Black loafers complete the look.
Activewear by Betsey Johnson includes neon-spotted matching pantsets, topped with hot pink quilted vests. Models wearing these sporty numbers ended up prone on the floor, arms outstretched, doing yoga poses!
Betsey Johnson and daughter Lulu Johnson and two little girls (grandchildren?) came out to greet the crowd and surprisingly, Betsey Johnson wasn’t sporting her usual pink hair but a short, floppy fringed black do. Daughter Lulu looked lovely in black lace, while the girls donned pretty little frocks.
But no fashion show would be complete without Betsey doing her famous cartwheels and the splits mid-runway!
Betsey Johnson Fall 2013 is all about having fun. So take yourself a little less seriously!
