Original Story: Several members from the Cheap Ass Gamer website on Nov. 27 has compiled a list of the lowest Black Friday prices for several popular video games that were released in 2013. Select big retailers are looking to win over customers with big discounts towards select software products.

Walmart seems to be the best place to shop as the retail chain has the cheapest deals on the most popular titles such as “Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag,” “Battlefield 4,” “Call of Duty: Ghosts” and “Grand Theft Auto V.” Fry’s Electronics and GameStop also appear to be the prefer destinations for customers looking for the top deals on second-tier and niche titles in terms of popularity. Finally, Amazon is being aggressive by price matching offers from other shops.

You can find some screens of the aforementioned “Battlefield 4” and “Call of Duty: Ghosts” titles in the slideshow to the left of this article and the list of the best Black Friday prices below:

  • “Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag” - $35 at Best Buy, Microsoft Store and Walmart
  • “Batman: Arkham Origins” - $30 at Best Buy
  • “Battlefield 4” - $25 at GameStop and Walmart
  • “Beyond: Two Souls” - $25 at Walmart
  • “Call of Duty: Ghosts” - $39.96 at Microsoft Store and Walmart
  • “Diablo 3” - $40 at Fry’s Electronics
  • “Dragon’s Crown” - $25 at Fry’s Electronics
  • “Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn” - $20 at Amazon and GameStop
  • “FIFA 14” - $25 at Microsoft Store and Walmart
  • “Grand Theft Auto V” - $34 at Microsoft Store and Walmart
  • “Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 Remix” - $19.99 at Amazon and GameStop
  • “The Last of Us” - $25 at Walmart
  • “NBA 2K14” - $40 at Fry’s Electronics
  • “Rayman Legends” - $25 at GameStop
  • “Saints Row IV” - $25 at Walmart
  • “Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time” - $10 at Walmart
  • “Splinter Cell Blacklist” - $25 at GameStop, Target and Walmart
  • “Tales of Xillia” - $20 at GameStop
  • “WWE 2K14” - $40 at Fry’s Electronics

A majority of the retailers mentioned on the list should be starting their Black Friday sale shortly if they have not already done so. “Battlefield 4” and “Call of Duty: Ghosts” should be among the top selling games during the shopping holiday as the two titles will be competing against each other to garner interest from fans of the first-person shooter genre.
