Mark Lewisohn sent out a series of Twitter posts Jan. 29 saying that the two-volume extended "author's cut" version of his “The Beatles: Tune In: All These Years, Volume 1” book is now sold out.

“The extended edition of Tune In has sold out and is now unavailable," he wrote. "Another print may or may not be scheduled at some future time. The e-book (issued in two halves) (see part 1 and part 2) is still available, but it’s UK only. My U.S. publisher, Crown, wouldn’t issue the extended book and couldn’t agree terms for the e-book. I’m sorry about that, for me and for everyone in U.S. who wants to buy it, but I can do nothing about it.”

Hopefully, it'll come back into print in the UK or become available in the U.S.

Abbey Road lectures return: Abbey Road Studios has scheduled a third installment of its “The Sound of Abbey Road Studios" lectures in April and May hosted by Brian Kehew and Kevin Ryan, authors of the acclaimed book “Recording the Beatles.” This talk will feature a special guest – former Abbey Road Studios engineer Ken Scott, who will speak in the same room where he recorded tracks by the Beatles, Pink Floyd and Jeff Beck. Tickets are £88.40 ($145.60 USD) including booking fee, available from SeeTickets.

Washington Coliseum concert tickets on eBay: Two ticket stubs from the Beatles' 1964 Washington Coliseum concert are now being auctioned on eBay. With still a couple of days to go, the high bid is just over $2,300. The concert is being celebrated with a special tribute Feb. 11 at the original site.

Boo on Billboard: The Billboard list of the top 10 2014 Grammy Award ceremony moments included Taylor Swift, Beyonce, Katy Perry and Pharrell's hat, but not Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr.

Beatles 50th petition: Our petition asking President Obama to honor the Beatles 50th has been getting signatures all day since we posted it earlier today. Please spread the word and sign it if you haven't already.
