David Bedford, who runs the official Stuart Sutcliffe Fan Club on behalf of the Stuart Sutcliffe Estate, announced on Facebook March 24 that a new memorial garden to celebrate the life of Stuart Sutcliffe has been started outside Gambier Terrace, Liverpool, where Stuart lived with John Lennon. Bedford said people can keep up with news about Sutcliffe by joining his official fan club (for free) at http://www.stuartsutcliffefanclub.com.

Sandy Fairfax returns: Sally Carpenter, author of “The Baffled Beatlemaniac Caper,” told Beatles Examiner her book is available again on Kindle with a new cover. And some more news. “I'm working on the third Sandy Fairfax book and the tribute band from 'Beatlemaniac' returns along with Sandy and Bunny,” she said. “This book has more of an 'Elvis' theme with Sandy juggling an ex-girlfriend, a sister, a new girlfriend, fans and a female cop.”
Beatle movie marathon: If you live near Northumberlandview, Ontario, Canada, a great Beatles movie marathon is taking place there March 30 beginning at noon at Park Theatre Coburg. The marathon will feature all five Beatles movies “A Hard Day's Night,” “Help,” “Magical Mystery Tour,” “Yellow Submarine” and “Let It Be.” Admission is only a non-perishable food item. The event is a fundraiser by Northumberland 89.7 for Fare Share Food Bank. A concert by Beatles tribute band the Fab Four will also take place there May 31. More information on both events is here.
