‘Battlefield 4’ developer talks PS4 GDDR5 RAM benefits on CPU and GPU (Photos)

Johan Andersson has commented on Feb. 21 in regards to the benefits the 8 GB of GDDR5 RAM will have on the CPU and GPU for the PS4. According to a message from his Twitter account, the technical director at EA Digital Illusions Creative Entertainment (the studio behind the upcoming “Battlefield 4”) disclosed that the large amount of memory will help the CPU and GPU in creating big living game worlds. A multiplayer beta for “Battlefield 4” would take place in North America later this year. The sequel is rumored to be coming to the PC, PS3 and Xbox 360 current-generation platforms in addition to the next-generation PS4 and Xbox 720 consoles. A release date has not yet been announced by Electronic Arts for “Battlefield 4.”
