Consider the tales of two very different men, Dr. Ben Carson and the current President of the United States.
One, Barack Hussein Obama, spent his formative years mentored by the likes of Frank Marshall Davis, choom smoked his way through high school, rode through his college years on the wings of diversity quotas, and with the help of a domestic terrorist and the Chicago power elite launched a political career that propelled him all the way into the Oval Office.
Another, Benjamin Carson, was born in Detroit, Michigan to a single mother who worked up to three jobs at a time to keep the family off welfare, graduated with honors from Southwestern High School, used those honors to attend Yale, the University of Michigan Medical School and residency at Johns Hopkins where at the age of 33 he became the Director of Pediatric Neurosurgery, the youngest in that institution’s history.
Now, Dr. Benjamin Carson is the man who has set the internet abuzz by doing the one thing that the minion media has refused to do for years now: speak truth to power.
The video clip of his speech at Thursday’s National Prayer Breakfast is destined to go down as one for the ages. In a little over 20 minutes, Dr. Carson lays out plainly and clearly the problem with a one size fits all governmental healthcare takeover and hits back at the liberal desire to “punish” via the tax code.
Critics of Dr. Carson are decrying him for “politicizing” a traditional non-partisan event. But considering the minion media’s absolute refusal to ever question their Dear Leader and his politics, if not Dr. Carson then who, if not there, where, if not then, when?
No, the real reason behind the whining about Dr. Carson is that he’s immune to all the usual tactics of the left. The politics of personal destruction and the demagoguery that got their chosen one twice elected, do not work on a man who has actually done what Obama never will: DO rather than dream, LEAD rather than whine, and RESPECT the values and principles that made this nation great.
One is a self-made man, the other a man who’s centered on self.
One understands the value of hard work and the devastation caused by dependency and welfare entitlement, the other has never worked a private job for any length of time in his entire life.
One has dedicated his life to saving lives and doing public good, the other has spent the past two decades living off the public dole.
One presents a message of peace and healing, the other uses demagoguery and the hammer of government to divide along partisan divides.
One has published 6 books reflecting humbly upon his “gift” and re-discovering what made America great, the other has penned two self-aggrandizing auto-biographies that contain now admitted “composite” (made up) characters and circumstances.
One has received over 60 honorary doctorate degrees and the Presidential Medal of Freedom, the other a politically motivated “peace” prize not worth the paper it’s printed on.
One is President of the United States, the other one should be.
