According to MSN, Ashlee Simpson, 29, married Evan Ross, 26, on Sunday in Greenwich, Connecticut in a bohemian-themed ceremony at the estate of the groom's famous mother, Diana Ross, 70, who planned the wedding, officiated the wedding and also sang for her son and new bride. The wedding was attended by close family and friends in a private ceremony.
The former pop star wore a stunning, pearl-embellished wedding dress accessorized with Neil Lane rubies and diamonds worth $750,000. Simpson was walked down the aisle by her son Bronx, 5. Her famous older sister, Jessica Simpson, was the matron of honor and friend CaCee Cobb was a bridesmaid who along with the other bridesmaids wore heels from Jessica's shoe line,
Jessica's children were also part of the ceremony. Her two-year-old daughter Maxwell served as the flower girl and son Ace, aged 14 months was the ring bearer. The groom's half-sister Tracee Ellis Ross was the mistress of ceremony.
Us Weekly reports that Simpson and Ross began dating in July 2012 and announced their engagement in Jan. in Hawaii when the bride-to-be tweeted, along with the first shot of her engagement ring, "My baby love and I are ENGAGED!!! Hallelujah Hawaii!!!" Simpson's ring is one-of-a-kind 5-carat vintage-inspired Neil Lane engagement ring set in platinum and gold and features more than 140 white diamonds accented by small rubies.
This is the second marriage for Simpson who was previously married for three years to rocker Pete Wentz. This is the first marriage for "The Hunger Games: Mockingjay" actor Ross.
