Apple Jam's 'Off the Beatle Track' takes fresh look at unreleased Lennon-McCartney songs

The front and back cover of "Off the Beatle Track" by Apple Jam.

Remaking songs the Beatles composed but never released has been done before, but there's something to really like about this new effort by Apple Jam.

The 16 songs bring back memories a time of innocence and growth in the songwriting of Lennon and McCartney.

Here's the track list: "I'm In Love," "Tip of My Tongue," "Love of the Loved," "You'll Know What To Do," "I Don't Want to See You Again," "Nobody I Know," "I'll Keep You Satisfied," "It's For You," "Hello Little Girl," "Like Dreamers Do," "Bad To Me," "A World Without Love," " From a Window," "One and One Is Two."

The cover versions pretty much stick with the originals, though "You Know What To Do" gets a little more energetic treatment than the George Harrison version on "The Beatles Anthology 1" CD.

The CD cover harkens back to the Beatles' UK releases with the stark design on the front and the layout of the liner notes on the back.

I've reworked some unreleased George gems and have them posted on youtube. Check 'em out and tell me what you think: "George Harrison rare Window Window" and George Harrison rare Mother Divine"
