According to Softpedia News on Tuesday, there are three dogs that the couple adopted that appear to be at issue.

An insider with the family revealed that Melanie is determined to keep the terrier mix and the two shepherd Labrador mixes that they adopted last February, but Antonio Banderas might have other ideas on what will be done. It’s pretty obvious that each individual loves the dogs and where the pooches might call home could be a court issue.

The divorce proceedings of the marriage might be in the court process, but Antonio Banderas and Melanie Griffith are already acting like they are done. According to People Magazine on Tuesday, Melanie Griffith is in Italy enjoying the country without her wedding band on. It appears the decision of starting a new life without Banderas will be a permanent decision.

With the divorce in motion, the question of the dogs has many wondering who will be their owner. As people get extraordinarily attached to their animals, it could be the celebrities decide to take the matter to court. It might be a strange custodial issue, but in divorce everything is subject to being divided including time with the dogs.

Griffith filed for divorce on June 6, citing irreconcilable differences with Banderas, 53, after 18 years of marriage. One of Hollywood’s best known couples who displayed affection on the red carpet took the fans by surprise in the decision. There were few indications that this might have happened over the summer.
