Another potential method has been revealed in regards to fixing a save bug from the recently-released “Pokemon X” and “Pokemon Y” video games on the Nintendo 3DS. According to a report by Junkie Monkeys on Oct. 17, several players were able to reportedly resolve the issue by constantly pressing the “Home” button on the handheld system.
The bug appears when players try to save while on the streets of Lumiose City. Upon reloading the same file, the game will crash. The new method suggests that you should keep pressing the home button over and over again as soon as you can hear the music playing as you load your save file. Doing so should more than likely fix the bug.
An official solution to the Lumiose City save glitch in “Pokemon X” and “Pokemon Y” will be released through a patch. To prevent potential problems, players should not attempt to save while exploring the aforementioned location until a patch for both software products is made available for download.
Nintendo released “Pokemon X” and “Pokemon Y” for multiple regions, including North America, on Oct. 12. The two titles have combined to sell four million copies worldwide so far. Both video games were developed at the Game Freak studio by the same team that created the previous mainline installments of the “Pokemon” series.
