Sadly, Andrea True (born Andrea Marie Truden) passed away at the age of 68.
This Renaissance woman from Nashville worked hard throughout her life which ended on November 7 in Kingston, New York. Cause of death is unknown but True's tale is one that took her first to the Big Apple at age 17 to try her luck as an actress. Some success came True's way, with a part the seminal Robert Redford/Barbra Steisand classic The Way We Were as part of her early resume. She also had a role in 40 Carats.
But adult films ended up being the way True made her living later on, using names such as Inger Kissin, Andrea Travis, Catherine Warren, Singe Low, and Singh Low.
Enter the disco era when this hard-working thespian headed to Jamaica to act in a commercial for a real estate company. Unfortunately, politics played a role in True's life at that point because during one foray to the Caribbean island unrest meant she was not allowed to go home with the money she had earned.
Turning lemons into lemonaid, Andrea True asked producer Gregg Diamond to visit her in Jamaica, where the two music in the form of the hit called More, More, More (Part 1) which shot to number 4 on the Billboard Hot 100 and number 1 on the Disco and Club Play charts.
More music followed but when disco died, so did True's singing career, at which time she tried once again to enter the porn trade only to discover she was overaged for the good role. Onward for this trooper who is said to have become not only an astrologer but also a counselor for substance abuse.
Although she died too young, Andrea True truly had a full life.
RIP, Andrea True, RIP.
