'Amish Mafia' is fake: Amish researcher speaks out about the show (Video)

"Amish Mafia" is a new show on Discovery. They are trying to say it is a reality TV show, but information is coming out all the time that it is fake. On Jan. 9, Professor Karen Johnson-Weiner, who is an Amish researcher, spoke out to Your News Now about the show.

She says that there is nothing like the "Amish Mafia" at all. It is simply not true. She went on to say: "The very notion that you would call someone who is outside the church 'Amish' is strange to the Amish." Karen went on to say that the Amish people know about the show and they don't like it.

A member of the Amish community, Sam Stoltzfus, even spoke out saying that the people on this show are simply not Amish. They seem very upset by it all. It sounds like Lebanon Levi is not Amish at all and that is not really shocking news.

She did say that yes there are some wild parties that go on from time to time. They do not get baptized into the community until they are adults so they do like to try out a few things.

Several other people have said the show is fake as well. One person said that the show does not really protect her store even though they say that they do on the show. The local police dept. is also saying it isn't true at all.
