1997 American Stories Collection Patriot Barbie Doll
The American Stories Collection of Barbie Doll was issued for only three years, but it produced some of the best quality play-line Barbies including the 1997 Patriot Barbie Doll. This was the last doll in the series of 8 historic dolls which were apparently considered rather plain by little girls and collectors.
Fanciful Colonial Attire
The Patriot Barbie was jazzed up a little from her earlier counterparts, with a less historic and more fanciful take on a lady's attire in 1776. Dressed in a red, white, blue and gold outfit made up of a red satin skirt, blue velvet jacket trimmed with lots of gold, and antique white lace cuffs and collar, Patriot Barbie wears a blue tricorn hat with white feathers. She holds a miniature gold version of the Liberty Bell.
The colonial doll features pale skin, beautiful blue eyes and brunette ringlets.
Patriot Barbie comes with a Liberty Dream Storybook and is perfect for 4th of July and patriotic displays.
