The "American Idol" season 12 premiere aired on Jan. 16, 2013. The judges visited New York during the first episode to search for talent. Many "American Idol" hopefuls were given golden tickets to Hollywood but only a few will make it past those Hollywood auditions. Since the initial auditions are recorded in advance there are spoilers available.
"American Idol" introduces many young singers and their stories to the viewers but a lot of them simply don't make it very far in the competition. To see which idols will make it all the way to the top 40 scroll down and view the list of spoilers but if you would rather be surprised please do not read any further.
The singers seen in the premiere that are still in the competition are listed below. All of the other singers introduced during the premiere episode have been cut.
Tenna Torres is a 28-year-old from Queens, N.Y. When Tenna was 13, she attended Camp Mariah. All four judges voted to send her through to Hollywood. Torres tried out for season 11 but she was cut after the Las Vegas round.
Christina Isabelle Pasqualone is a 21-year-old Berklee School of Music graduate. She sang "Summertime" for the judges and all four sent her through to the next round.
Angela Miller is an 18-year-old from Beverly, Mass. She has lost 40 percent of her hearing but it doesn't affect her singing voice. All four judges said yes to Angela.
The judges will be visiting Chicago in search of more talent on Thursday. That episode of "American Idol" will air Jan. 17, 2013, on FOX channel WAWS 30 in Jacksonville. Keep checking back here at Examiner for more spoilers throughout the week.
