The Game Show Network (GSN) is bringing back “The American Bible Challenge,” the network’s highest rated show, for a third season and they are looking for you and a couple of friends. If you consider yourself a scholar of the Bible and love trivia, you could be a perfect fit.
Once again, Jeff Foxworthy will return as host and Kirk Franklin as musical co-host of “The American Bible Challenge” for nine episodes to be aired in 2014. They are seeking competitive teams of three who have great testimonies who would like to win cash for their favorite charity. Last season’s winning team won $140,000.
“We are proud of the breakthrough success of this atypical series,” said Amy Introcaso-Davis, EVP, Programming and Development, GSN. “The American Bible Challenge is GSN’s flagship show that appeals to everyone in the family. This series, along with recent hits ‘Minute to Win It’ and ‘The Chase,’ serves as the foundation from which we will build on and double our programming efforts in the next year.”
Tom Forman, CEO, Relativity Television said, “Sometimes a show perfectly hits that sweet spot of exciting competition blended with real heart, and that's the story of ‘The American Bible Challenge.’ Our TV and online fans can look forward to another fantastic ride in our third season.”
In addition, last month, the television network UP announced that they had acquired the first two seasons of the show. Fans can find the show on Thursdays at both 9:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m. (EST) on UP and at 9:00 p.m. (CST) on GSN.
“The American Bible Challenge” has now been seen by over 21 million viewers.
