Alexis Wineman is the new Miss Montana, the Miss America Organization announced.
She was crowned Miss Montana 2012 on Saturday at Dawson County High School Auditorium in Glendive.
At the time of her crowning, she was the reigning Miss Cut Bank.
Wineman will represent Montana at the Miss America 2013. The pageant is scheduled for January in Las Vegas. The final night of competition will be broadcast live on the ABC television network.
If she earns the Miss America crown, she will be the first Miss Montana to win the national title.
Her pageant platform is "Normal is Just a Dryer Setting: Living with Autism."
She is autistic and shares her experiences with the disorder.
Moira Shea was crowned Miss Montana's Outstanding Teen 2012.
She will represent Montana in August at the Miss America's Outstanding Teen pageant in Orlando.
At the time of her crowning she was Miss Helena's Outstanding Teen.
The national teen pageant is the younger-sister competition to the Miss America pageant.
This will be the eighth year of the teen pageant. Previous winners hailed from Texas, New York, Virginia, South Carolina, Wisconsin, Oklahoma and Florida.
