Alexander Hayne overcame John Finkel who was playing bant. He then defeated Joshua Cho's naya deck to finally be paired up against Gaudenis Vidugiris who was running the same bant list as John Finkel. Alexander Hayne ended up victorious over Gaudenis Vidugiris with a creatureless deck winning thanks to the miracle Entreat the Angels.

"Pro Tour Avacyn Restored" was a lifechanging event for this 23 year-old from Montreal, Quebec. In addition to his hefty prize purse of $40,000, Alexander Hayne earned enough pro points to also secure the "Rookie of the Year" title. That's not all though. Alexander Hayne also will be playing on the Canadian team to compete for the "Magic: The Gathering World Cup," is qualified to be in the "Player's Championship," and his pro status has turned "Platinum."
