Alec Baldwin seems to love confrontation with the media. In fact he is at again, according to TMZ on Feb. 18. Baldwin allegedly threatened to choke a reporter to death and didn’t leave out the photographer when he let a racial slur come out of his mouth.
UPDATE: Alec Baldwin is claiming he never made any racial slurs. Sources for TMZ say the incident and tempers occured due to a story in the New York Post a few days ago about his wife. The story said his wife was being sued by a student in her yoga class. Alec was upset due the New York Post not getting his wife’s side of the story.
Alec is also denying he threatened to choke anyone. Alec just recently tweeted the following:
“I find it ironic that my foundation's last grant was $50,000 to the Arthur Ashe Learning Center.”
It doesn’t look like either side is going to let the incident go either. Baldwin has filed harassment charges and Tara Palmeri, New York Post reporter, has filed the same charges.
Palmeri approached Baldwin while he was walking his dogs. Palmeri asked Baldwin about the recent lawsuit against his wife Hilaria. Obviously, Baldwin did not want to be bothered because according to the New York Post, he grabbed Palmeri by the arm and said, “I want to choke you to death.” Palmeri recorded the whole thing and played it back for the police.
Baldwin’s attack didn’t just end at Palmeri. Baldwin then turned to the photographer and proceeded to call him “a coon,” “crackhead” and “drug dealer.” According to the New York Post, the photographer is a retired detective with the NYPD’s Organized Crime Control Bureau and yes, he is black.
Alec Baldwin took to Twitter and made several tweets. One of them said: “Thank u 2 NYPD officers who came to my home 2day so that I could file a formal complaint against NY Post ‘photographer’ who assaulted me.”
The tweet has since been deleted.
Alec Baldwin also had to incidents with photographers last year. Sounds like he just wants to be left alone. Sound off in comments below.
